Training Adoption Methodology (The TAM Approach)

Our Training Adoption Methodology ( The TAM Approach) represents a holistic approach to training. We have determined that the most effective approach to training is to consider it to be an ongoing process as compared to the more traditional training as an event approach.

The continual process approach empowers learners at the right time when they need training the most. This approach takes into consideration the learning needs of your implementation team and your end-user population.

Our process is comprised of six distinct but interrelated phases.

1) Strategy Planning Session. The determination of who your learners are and what are their learning needs.

2) Project Team Training. In this phase we match budget to the greater implementation project outline to the availability of resources to attend training. The result of this phase produces an implementation team training project plan.

3) User Definition. As your system is being configured and go-live is more of a reality than a date in the future. The user population needs to be identified, segmented and their collective needs either by role or tasks must be analyzed. A plan must be put in place to address and surpass their distinct learning needs.

4) Building the User Experience. This phase drives the design and development of user materials. Materials are typically built with a blended approach in mind. The blended approach allows the learner to learn at his pace on his terms. This could include traditional classroom experiences to self paced tutorials available 24/7.

5) Delivery and Deployment Methods. This phase addresses how materials are distributed to your users. What internal resources combined with external resources are needed to successfully roll out training and associated materials in the time frame provided?

6) Transition to Client. Client participation and ultimate ownership is key to the training partnership. Collaboration throughout the training process allows for a seamless and easy transition to clients to ultimately " run the show" themselves.

User Adoption

As you get closer to final system configuration and go-live, your end user population needs to be empowered so that they are performing the new tasks in the manner and order that has been designed. User populations can be as diverse as line level, supervisory, managerial or C-level users. As part of our Training Adoption Methodology we collaborate with both Subject Matter Experts (SME) to design, develop and deploy training to user populations with the right blend of traditional and non-traditional learning objects.

The key to successful user adoption is to provide both process and conceptual training in easily accessible formats in terms appropriate to learn at the times the learners need it most.
