proud
sponsor
of
The
Florida
International
University
Scholarship
Fishing
Tournament
on
June
20,
2009.
The
annual
event
is
held
to
assist
in
funding
the
scholorship
program
for
the
University's
students.
The
TAM
Training
participated
in
fishing
tournament
the
event
with
other
community
organziations
and
leaders.
TAM
Training
Team
reeled
in
the
2nd
place
award
for
Largest
Dolphin.
"While
we
had
great
fun
participating
in
the
FIU
Scholarship
Fishing
Tournament,
this
was
really
about
helping
the
University
fulfill
it's
mission
to
provide
quality
education
for
students,"
said
FIU
Alum
Gabriel
Albelo.
Since
2002,
The
Florida
International
University
Scholarship
Fishing
Tournament
has
continued
to
assist
in
contributing
to
the
FIU
Alumni
Association's
Scholarship
Fund.
Funds
are
raised
through
sponsorships
and
boat
registration.
Scholarships
include
the
Legacy
Scholarship,
awarded
to
students
whose
parents,
grandparents
or
siblings
are
graduates
of
the
university
and
the
Panther
Pride
Scholarship
awarded
to
students
demonstrating
outstanding
involvement
in
campus
life
and
activities.
